About Khango

Khango was founded by brothers/owners Dose and Taj Khan. They both come from a collegiate, athletic background and decided to take their knowledge and passion into starting their own facility in Houston, TX. Starting in Houston in 2014 to the current facility starting December 2020, the brothers have trained some of the biggest names in the city and have developed a community of clientele who follow them everywhere they go. During the pandemic era, they went mobile and trained individuals/groups in home gyms, parks, tracks and apartment rooftops to adjust to the elements they were faced with. This is the time period where they developed and established Khango Gym. They thought it was only right to make a family space so they added 3 trainers to the team, Bhadshah (brother), Halima (sister) and Cole (childhood friend) while Jenna (wife of Taj) handles all backend duties and operations. 

WHAT TO EXPECT IN A CLASS

Our classes consist of two separate workouts divided into men and women groups. We start with a quick group warm up then break off into groups. This is where each exercise will be demoed and our circuits will be explained. 

While participating in the class, coaches will be cheering you on, monitoring the groups form and offering modifications as needed. We can accommodate to any injury and/or health issues/limitations to keep you integrated in the class setting. The workout will vary each day and generally is a full body workout with emphasis on upper or lower body. It is a full hour workout and high intensity but feel free to go at your own pace. Athlete Specific Training

We offer athlete specific training programs varying from Junior High schools athletes all the way to professional and retired athletes. These programs will be modified to your sport and will require reaching out to management about booking/scheduling. Train where the likes of Andre Johnson, Deandre Hopkins , Owen Daniels and many more choose to trust in their bodies. 

Personal Training

This is primarily for those looking for a 1 on 1 setting and feel they need more attention or a more specific program toward their goals. All booking/scheduling is done through management and based on trainer availability. 

Other Services

Physical therapy

We offer an in-house doctor of physical therapy. For any lingering injuries, ailments, or overall tune-ups to your body this is where we recommend. All bookings will be done through Dr. Kim and on his website linked below. 

Stretch/Mobility

Try out our stretching sessions post Khango class. This is a 10-15 minute full-body stretch with use of hands and massage/therapy tools. Deeper focus on areas that may need more attention, upon request.
